THAT'S SO 70s!
October 30, 2023
Hello again! After an extended time at Silvia's Blue Moon party (…that's the last time I attend one of those never-ending shindigs!), we're proud to finally announce the first completed retro illustration is now up on the 1970s Retroperspective Page. I know it's only one drawing, but we're excited about filling out these retro galleries with much more images! (We were in such a rush, we didn't give proper fashion credit to the Pierre Cardin accessories in that illustration.) And you'll see many familiar faces, as well as several new models, in our upcoming galleries.
One note before getting back to the drawing board: I realize most developers design first for mobile devices, but considering how much art these Retroperspective galleries will contain, they're viewable only on desktop devices (at least, for now). Don't take it personally, all you smartphone web surfers out there! It's just desktop browsers offer much more viewing real estate for our purposes!
RETROPERSPECTIVE GALLERIES
July 14, 2023
In case you haven't noticed, we're slowly but surely beginning to assemble the Retro Image GALLERIES ! And while only two of the links are active at the moment, and even then, the resulting pages are far from complete, we're genuinely excited about finally being on the cusp of presenting our long-awaited artwork.
And although this is intended to be a visual history of specific time periods and not a written one, at some point we'll also provide a few links to external sites for those interested in learning more about the fashion & culture of the day. So yet again we say, stay tuned!
IN PROGRESS
November 22, 2022
Just to let you know we haven't abandoned this site again, we've added a sketch of one of our gallery images to the home page and we've also filled out the bio for our Artificial Intelligence unit, Arti-a. And there's much more to come!
HELLO AGAIN!
October 17, 2022
Okay, we've been MIA for more than a year now, as apparently one of Mim's new intergalactic pets disrupted our warp bubble capabilities when we had gone mobile. Some of us were onboard and others were left here, and it was all quite a time-warped mess.
But things are running more smoothly now, and I hope to get back to polishing off our retro image gallery and finalizing the remaining bios. Thanks again for your patience!
NO FLOC
May 20, 2021
A quick note about Google's planned implementation of Federated Learning of Cohorts (FLOC). With the increasing availability of privacy options across modern browsers (such as the ability to block third party cookies or request that sites not track users), advertisers & tech companies are looking for other ways to glean information from & pry into the web-surfing habits of their users. FLOC is an alternative that Google proposed that allows websites to know what other sites you've visited and tap into your browsing history.
If you've read our Terms of Use & Privacy policies, you already know that we don't implement cookies, tracking beacons, or install local storage on your machine or device when you visit this page. And although we don't currently serve up ads on this site, even if we do in the future, we have no intention of implementing FLOC. Apart from the fact that it has the most peculiar name, FLOC seems to be an obvious intrusion of privacy that can also likely be used by savvy tech experts to, over time, develop a far too accurate profile of what pages you visit and who you are. Not cool.
We're here to entertain you, not get all the information we can about you.
